Modern Home Economics: cultivating self-sufficiency and life skills for the modern age

Self-Sufficiency and Life Skills for the Modern Age

A Good Sleep

Sometimes between normal life, working on getting your house reset, and the things that are not so normal (I’ve just finished a work-related class that took most of the last two weeks), we just need a break. Last night I went to bed at 9:30 and slept for over 12 hours. I felt like a new person this morning.

We have to listen to our bodies. Mine was telling me last night that it was done. I was not going to squeeze any extra energy or willpower out of it.

You have to take care of yourself so that you can take care of others. If you need to rest or get some extra sleep this weekend, consider this your permission.
